  1. What are the working hours of the POLIGONO store?

    Mon-Fri 11-14 and 15-18

    VI 10-14

How can you purchase the offered goods without going to the store?

See "Orders" or directly to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

What does the color in the "Status" graph of the catalog mean?

Green - we have it in the store, yellow - after ordering, we deliver it within 40-60 days (probability 90%), red - we accept orders, but the product is difficult to reach, there is a high probability that such an order will not be fulfilled.

What glue-on plastic model is suitable for a 6-year-old?

Such a young man will need the help of his elders. 8-year-olds can glue together the simplest plastic models on their own. or older children.

What model to choose to start?

A simple (up to 50 parts or similar), medium size (eg M 1/72 or 1/48 modern or WWII fighter, M 1/35 armored car or military vehicle, M 1/72 torpedo boat or similar). Very old and inaccurate models are not suitable at all, and short run models are also not suitable at all, and very large and luxurious ones are not suitable - you will be able to build these with better skill.

What kind of glue should be used to stick plastic models?

Plastic models are glued only with polystyrene glue. Other glues are not suitable.

Polystyrene glue melts plastic, so it should be applied sparingly so that excess glue does not get on the outer surface of the model. If the outer surface of the model is damaged, after 24-30 hours, when the glue has completely dried, sand the damaged areas with very fine sandpaper. Fast-drying glue ("Super glue" or similar) can be used to glue only additional details - rockets, bombs, small caps, etc.

In what languages will the instructions for assembling the model be available?

Additional descriptions are available in English, German, French, and sometimes in the language of the model manufacturer. However, the entire assembly process will be shown in drawings - you can follow the specified order, but after thinking carefully and assessing your abilities, you can deviate from this order a little (for example, glue the chassis at the end of assembly, etc.). After finding the parts needed for the next operation, cut them out of the supporting frames and carefully remove the remaining plastic parts with a fine file or sandpaper. After that, try to connect the parts without glue. If the pieces fit together well, think about whether you need to compress them or otherwise strengthen them while the glue dries.

How long does the glue take to dry?

In the open space, the glue dries very quickly. When gluing larger parts (e.g. the body) you need to rotate very quickly, sometimes you have to apply a second or even a third layer (each subsequent one dries a little slower). The adhesive must dry very well in the critical areas (e.g. chassis struts - wheel wells, fuselage - wing joints, etc.). It takes 10-12 hours, so take breaks during construction, and place the glued parts in such a way that the gluing places are not subjected to too much additional load - for example, the gravity of airplane wings left in a horizontal position can "bend" them at an incorrect angle, so it is desirable to provide supports and etc.

    Are pre-painted kits made?

No, paint jobs are left up to the modeler these days. Of course, factory-assembled and perfectly hand-painted models are available (see diecast). In order to construct a beautiful model, it should be painted. The model painted according to the picture on the box and the painting scheme shown in the instructions will look beautiful and more like its prototype, but impatient young modelers sometimes do not paint their first models to be glued. If the model is suitable for beginners, then its plastic color often corresponds to the main shade of the prototype.

What paints can be used to paint glued plastic models?

You can paint with the most diverse (not necessarily the companies recommended in the instructions) paints intended for plastic. Watercolor, emulsion (will not stick) or "farm" nitro paints are not suitable (if applied thicker, they can start to melt the plastic surface).

If you decide to paint more than just the exterior of the model, you need to paint the interior surfaces before gluing the main parts together (such as the torso, wings, etc.). Before gluing, don't forget to add a centering weight to the front of the model to be glued (if the model composition requires it). It is advisable to paint the interior with small brushes. The exterior should be painted before gluing additional details - weapons, antennas, chassis covers, etc. It is convenient to paint these parts separately and glue them at the end of the installation, after decorating the model with signs and inscriptions.

    How to choose paint shades?

The model can be painted in the shades specified in the instructions, but it is not necessary to follow these instructions blindly. The instructions often indicate only approximate shades. You will most accurately color by looking at the real object or color photos of it. It is also possible to paint using the paint variants published in technical publications
